Homeworld: Age of Starsiege – Intro
Greetings aspiring Hiigaran General! This CCG is based on the Homeworld computer game series by Relic and spans four parts of the game (Homeworld, Homeworld Cataclysm, Homeworld 2 and a little bit of what is known from Homeworld 3). This game is a medium scale tactical wargame in space, where each player takes control of one of the major civilisations in the universe.
1.0 Homeworld: Age of Starsiege – Customizable card game
Most card games have just one deck of cards that never changes, but a customizeable card game (or CCG) works differently. In a CCG, you personalize your playing deck using cards from your collection. The Homeworld: Age of Starsiege Collectible Card Game provides two players with the same challenges that the Hiigara and Vaygr faced in the Homeworld games.

1.1 The Homeworld Franchise
This game is based on the Homeworld computer games and background world. The author is aware that using this franchise in a card game is a serious violation of the copyright. But, it has to be said that this project is merely a non-profit fan game. In addition to that, a fully playble version – including critical card art – will never ever be available to the public.

1.2 Introduction
“In the First Time, the Great Hyperspace Core was found.
With it came the gift of interstellar travel and the Outer Rim Trade Routes were established, uniting the galaxy in peace. Four thousand years passed before the Second Core was discovered on a desert planet.
Pain and bloodshed followed its wake, but the Exiles returned to their Homeworld… Hiigara.
A young woman led them across the galaxy, and it is she who will lead them again. Her name is Karan S’jet.
This is the story of the End Time. We know this, because the Third Core has been found…
Under the dark influence of this Core, the Taiidan have risen under a new leader, a Vaygr Warrior-Lord named Makaan. He calls himself the Sajuuk-Khar, the Chosen One.
Many systems have already fallen under his shadow and his eyes are set upon Hiigara.
Deep inside the Great Derelict at Tanis, construction of a new Mothership is underway, Pride of Hiigara.
Once more, the exiles will face the coming darkness.”
It is the year 172 AHL (9682 GSY), after Karan Sjet introduced the Age of S’jet through the discovery of the Eye of Arran, a galaxy wide network of hyperspace gates was established. Hiigara survivied the Vaygr assault and the galaxy was thought to be a peaceful place again. The Eye of Arran set the opening scene for an age of galaxy-wide prosperity and trade. Peace is the first notable event after millennia of conflicts.
But with the power of galactic space travel, minor and major races and houses eked out independence. this new freedom did not only spawn exchange of wisdom and possesions…
…it also fuelled the burning flame that lasts deep within all thinking, sensing beings: striving for power.
and thus the fate of the hiigara changed from one single threat in the past, called Vaygr – into a multitude of threats in the present…
welcome to the Age of Starsiege!
